This year, GameStop says it will open 65 new Technology Brand stores and 35 Collectibles stores, and will close between 2% to 3% of its GameStop stores, which amounts to at least 150 stores. Shares, down 21% over the past 12 months, fell about 11% to $21.40 in after-hours trading. As a result, it claims, sales of new game hardware declined 29.1 percent and new game software declined by 19.3 percent during the quarter.

Amtrak train derails at New York's Penn Station

NJ Transit said service is suspended in and out of Penn Station. [Update 10:06 a.m.] Amtrak released a statement about the incident, calling it "a minor derailment" to an Acela train with 248 passengers and crew members. Passenger Jordan Geary posted on Twitter that the collision blew out his window, but nobody appeared to be seriously injured. The MTA said Long Island Rail Road service was not affected.
