'Sound of Music' actress Charmian Carr dies at 73

She was best known for playing Liesl von Trapp, the eldest daughter of Captain Von Trapp in the 1965 film The Sound Of Music opposite Julie Walters and Christopher Plummer . Hughes said that quitting acting was: 'A decision she never regretted'. Carr was born on December 27, 1942 in Chicago. It was his favorite film and they shared a special friendship.
