In Australia's largest payout for a defamation case, actor Rebel Wilson has been awarded $AU4.5m. In a statement, Bauer Media said it was "considering today's judgment". Ms Wilson sat in court for every day of the three-week trial and spent six days in the witness box herself. The judgment follows a unanimous jury verdict in June that Bauer Media, publisher of Woman's Day magazine, had defamed Wilson by branding her a "serial liar" who "fabricated nearly every aspect of her life".
