1st tropical storm of Pacific season weakens into depression

The Pacific hurricane season runs from May 15 to November 30, while the Atlantic hurricane season officially kicks off a few weeks later on June 1. The previous earliest tropical storms was Alma in 1990. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 millibars. It is expected to make a turn to the north, then northeast toward the southern coast of Mexico this weekend into early next week.
