The North Korean drill was conducted "under the simulated conditions of making preemptive strikes " on the regions of South Korea where THAAD is located, state-run KCNA said. He later "expressed great satisfaction over the successful drill", it said. North Korea's official news agency reported that the exercise, which successfully tested the simulated detonation of nuclear warheads mounted on the missiles was supervised by Kim Jong Un himself.

However, vice chair of the Wallasey CLP Paul Dabies said: "No one from the Labour Party has ever raised any allegation with Wallasey CLP". Angela Eagle has dropped out of the Labour leadership contest.
