Nintendo - "Pokemon GO Impact Limited", Shares Down by 17%

The game itself is developed and distributed by Niantic, the San Francisco-based mobile developer that was spun out of Google a year ago. Some observers remained optimistic however, noting that shares were still up some 60 percent compared with levels prior to the game's July 6 launch, adding almost $12 billion in market value.

But now the market has come to realise that Nintendo's part in the game is minimal. Shares in Nintendo have taken a severe hit on Friday after the Japanese giant issued a profit warning, telling shareholders that the financial gain from Pokémon GO would be nothing substantial.
