New 'Spider-man' Playstation game unveiled

The last major trade show of the year, gamecom, takes place in August annually and Sony only has a small presence there. Over the last 72 hours, we've learned about "the most powerful console", post-apocalyptic immersion in Fallout VR, and the new generation of female protagonists in upcoming blockbuster games.

Though this is a standalone expansion to Uncharted 4 , it's the first Uncharted game that won't feature Nathan Drake. According to Fortune , the tech giant just unveiled a brand new Spider-Man game for its PlayStation video console at the aforementioned event.

This was confirmed at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show, but its presence here suggests we're also going to see it in the west eventually. When Spidey finally catches up to the helicopter he's been chasing in the E3 demo, he's surprised by an aggressive-looking Mr.



Xbox One X won't turn a profit for Microsoft

Sony just seems to offer more right now, even with a slightly less powerful machine. With 2160 frame buffers, as well as high dynamic range and wide color gamut support, the console is built for true 4K gaming, the company said. Microsoft will sell 500,000 One X's during this year's fourth quarter, Harding-Rolls predicted. Microsoft has been keen to include its PC user base in future gaming plans as shown by the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which debuted previous year.

But one important aspect that sets the console apart is performance. That was true, with one big caveat: for the most part, Microsoft was talking about console exclusives. Coming off of the newly-named Xbox One X's reveal , Microsoft is running on quite the high. We'll find out later this year what to expect when the service officially launches.

It's not just Minecraft that has caused the issue of cross-platform play to come to a head, either. We also have to look at the technical aspect - and the technical aspect could be the easiest. But the people that are hurt by this choice are the players, at least those of Minecraft and Rocket League anyway. For the starters, PC games are played on one's personal computer, while the consoles games are manufactured by another company specifically to play intense games.
