Syrian Kurds seek 'neighborly' Turkey relations

US-backed fighters said yesterday they were preparing for a final assault on the Islamic State group's Syrian bastion Raqqa , likely next month, with new weapons and armored vehicles promised by Washington. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan castigated the United States for siding with "terrorist organizations" against Ankara, and his spokesman called the move "unacceptable".
