World leaders condemn North Korea over provocations

On Tuesday, North Korea claimed it had successfully launched its first intercontinental ballistic missile which is capable of carrying a "large, heavy nuclear warhead" and is able to strike the USA mainland. It has drawn the censure of both American and Canadian officials, who have called it a threat to global peace and security, and led both the USA and South Korea to stage ballistic missile firing drills in response.
