Most people travelling on the Russian military plane that crashed on Sunday were members of the Alexandrov Ensemble, the official choir of Russian Armed Forces. The ministry says 83 passengers and 8 crew members were on board, reports the Associated Press , and that emergency teams have been dispatched. The plane, which belongs to the Russian Defense Ministry, was carrying members of the Russian army's official choir to a military base in Syria for a New Year's concert.
