China opposes latest N. Korean missile test

North Korea has tested a ballistic missile in defiance of calls to rein in its weapons programme, days after the inauguration of a new leader in South Korea and coinciding with a major global summit in Beijing hosted by ally China. Past North Korean missiles have flown farther than Sunday's test, landing closer to Japan, but this launch follows a series of high-profile failures.

North Korea fired a ballistic missile early Sunday, sending it from a launch site near its border with China some 450 miles into the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. China remains one of North Korea's only allies and is responsible for much of the heavily-sanctioned nation's economy. Moon called an emergency national security meeting today.

Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russian Federation and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey also spoke at the opening ceremony. North Korea, which considers China its sole major diplomatic ally and economic benefactor, raised eyebrows when it made a decision to send a delegation to the summit.

After Trump fired Comey, his staff scrambled to explain why

Sean Spicer skulking around in the dark outside the White House, hiding from reporters behind bushes before finally huddling with them. To put it simply, Huckabee Sanders has been doing a fine job . "My gosh, Tucker", she said, with mild pique, "when are (critics) going to let that go?" she said of the Russian Federation investigation. Incidentally, Sanders will run Wednesday's White House press briefing, not Spicer.
