Acer's New Swift 7 Leads the Trend in Style

This insane thing even has a curved screen display-it's the first laptop in the world to offer that amenity, which comes by way of a 21-inch panel with a 2,200R curvature and 2560x1080 resolution.

Other top highlights include new eye-tracking gaming monitors, Swift and Spin convertible notebooks, and the Chromebook R 13. The company is targeting the professional and student markets with the new line, describing the Spin as "ideal for work and play" and highlighting the portability and versatility of the notebooks.

The shiny Swift 7 laptop has recently topped the bid of being the thinnest laptop available today, overtaking Apple's MacBook and HP's Spectre 13. The series Spin follows a similar model lineup to the Swift with Spin 7, 5, 3, and 1 models. The gaming laptops run Windows 10.

The beefy specs don't end there either, as Acer says the Predator 21 X will also feature one of Intel's upcoming 7th gen Core i CPUs, up to 64GB of RAM and room for four SSDs, which can be configured in RAID 0 for blisteringly fast storage speeds.

Keeping track of the Acer Predator 21 and other launches at IFA 2016? The Spin 3 is the biggest of the lot with a 15.6-inch display, the Spin 5 offers a 13.3-inch screen, while the Spin 7 offers a 14-inch display.

The Acer Predator 21 X doesn't have a price tag or release date yet and will have to be custom ordered. The Swift 1 will start at $249 from November. It gives you two USB 3.1 C type ports as well as a headphone jack. It's an IPS panel with 1080p resolution and 10-point touch capabilities, which supports tapping, swiping and pinch-to-zoom gestures. The laptop offers nearly 9 hours of battery, Intel's new battery efficient chip is one of the reasons for that. It is powered by a 6th generation Intel Core processor with up to 12GB RAM and dual storage support: both solid state drives (up to 256GB) and hard drives (up to 1TB). But now, that title belongs to Acer, which has unveiled the Swift 7 - the first notebook ever with a body that's less than 1cm thick. The laptop is set to hit North America next month, starting at $999.
