But now she's more open to discussing about her personal life as she feels her experiences could help others.
While it is not new for the couple to encounter several breakup rumors, it has been speculated that Kristen Stewart is the only issue that seems to be continuosly putting a rift on the their relationship.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Kristen Stewart gets a little real about Robert Pattinson, her sexuality and her occasionally-tetchy relationship with the paparazzi.
"I didn't talk about my first relationships that went public because I wanted things that are mine to be mine", she said.
Pattinson and Stewart dated for nearly four years after playing on-screen lovers in the Twilight saga.
Kristen Stewart may have no problem opening up about her love life now, but she wasn't always that way.
In July, she revealed for the first time that she had an on-again, off-again girlfriend, followed most recently by her first hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live", when she joked in a swipe at Republican President Donald Trump, "I'm, like, so gay, dude".
And, because her sexuality has been a topic of conversation for so long -she's now dating Stella Maxwell, but has dated other women in the past - we must analyze her decision to declare that she's "like, so gay, dude" on Saturday Night Live in February. Since then, Stewart has been linked to St. Vincent, Stephanie "Soko" Sokolinski and her current girlfriend, supermodel Stella Maxwell.
But now Kristen says things have changed, and she's more willing to share her life story in the interest of helping others. It wasn't this grand statement, 'I was so confused!
"I wasn't hiding anything", she told the Times. "I don't view the whole "Twilight" blow-up as being generally traumatic", she says.
