Chelsea Clinton knows what it's like to be scrutinized as the child of a president.
The 11-year-old wore shorts, a T-shirt that said "On Your Mark Tiger Shark" and loafers without socks for Sunday's return trip to the White House from the family's home on Trump's private golf club in central New Jersey.
Just days after Trump's inauguration, she spoke out for him after Twitter users made him the butt of jokes, People noted.
"One thing that isn't normal though is the way he dresses when he joins his parents for a public appearance", the Daily Caller wrote in the article.
The Daily Caller pointed out that president and the first lady traveled in "their Sunday best", while Barron looked like he was going on a "trip to the movie theater".
"Let's not pretend the press is suddenly concerned about defending the Trumps", Coglianese said told the AP in an email. In fact, it's coming from all around, including this statement from the communications director for first lady Melania Trump: "As with all past administrations we ask that the media give Barron his privacy".
Chelsea is a mother of two, she was growing up in the White House but the world wasn't digitalised that time, there were no social media.
"Barron is A KID".
Even Hilary Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, showed her solidarity with Barron by tweeting that she was disgusted with the article about his causal attire.
The tweet ended with the hashtag #StopChildhoodBullying. In January, she defended the eleven-year-old Barron.
