Sources in the party informed that before flying to US Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would have input from his party Quaid Nawaz Sharif while on his return journey the party leadership would decide on future political course how to deal with the things likely to unfold in the days to come.

Abbasi's trip to the USA to attend the General Assembly session will not only be his first as premier, but also the first high-level visit from Pakistan to the United States after President Donald Trump criticised the country for providing safe havens to terrorists.

It was a dressing down that left Pakistan feeling humiliated. It also suspended bilateral talks and visits with the US "as a mark of protest over the recent anti-Pakistan diatribe by US President Donald Trump".

Talking to US Ambassador David Hale, who called on him at the PM House, Mr Abbasi said: "It is important for Pakistan and US to stay engaged for pursuing common objectives and other issues of mutual interest".

It was agreed that the decades long relations between Pakistan and the U.S. should be further strengthened through multifaceted engagement.

Abbasi will address the Council on Foreign Relations and will interact with the US Pakistan Business Council, it said.

Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that India submitted its memorial on Jadhav case in the ICJ yesterday while Pakistan will submit its counter memorial by December 13.

"Pakistan has received the Memorial (written pleadings) from the International Court of Justice, submitted by the Government of India" in Jadhav's case, the Pakistan Foreign Office said in a statement.

"We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars at the same time they are housing the very terrorists that we are fighting", he said. They have said that revenge was sought in the name of accountability and for this goal the Supreme Court of Pakistan was used.
