UN Security Council exhorts North Korea to denuclearize

China will implement all United Nations Security Council resolutions, "no more, no less", Cui Tiankai, China's ambassador to the U.S., told reporters at a briefing in Washington when asked if China would cut oil shipments.

Haley tells CNN's "State of the Union" that the U.N. Security Council has basically exhausted its diplomatic options for dealing with North Korea.

"These sanctions are just now taking effect", he said, without providing evidence.

Moon is set to head to NY on Monday to attend the United Nations meeting, where North Korea is expected to be one of the key issues.

Addressing several hundred air force personnel after reviewing some of America┬┤s most high-tech fighters jets and bombers, Trump warned that Pyongyang had "once again shown its utter contempt for its neighbors and for the entire world community". She says war is undesirable but adds that "something has got to be done" if North Korea continues to threaten the USA and its allies.

US President Donald Trump has referred to the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un as a "rocket man".

"Our final goal is to establish the equilibrium of real force with the US and make the USA rulers dare not talk about military option", North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was quoted as saying by the state news agency, KCNA.

"As Kim Jong-Un's most recent launch demonstrates, this is one of the world's most urgent and unsafe security problems", he added.

"(Moon and Trump) agreed to bring stronger and more effective sanctions and pressure to make the North Korean regime realize that provocations will bring tougher diplomatic isolation, and economic pressure that will (put the regime) on the path to ruin", Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Soo-hyun said.

On Friday, the U.N. Security Council condemned North Korea's "highly provocative" test of an intermediate-range missile, which hurtled over US ally Japan into the northern Pacific Ocean.

During the 25-minute call, Trump and Moon condemned the latest missile launch by North Korea, pledging to work with the worldwide community to implement the latest UN Security Council resolution. North Korea is closer than ever to its goal of building a military arsenal that can viably target both USA troops in Asia and the American homeland.
