Arsene Wenger reacts to Arsenal's draw at Chelsea: We could have won

Arsenal came from behind on Thursday to record a 3-1 win over FC Koln in the Europa League.

Chelsea midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko said beating Tottenham at Wembly is a motivation for the Blues to do the same as they face Arsenal today in another English Premier League. It is still goalless between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners were roundly beaten 4-0 at Liverpool before the recent worldwide break and showed none of the commitment, guile or ability that was on show here. I think even Luiz will accept he went in too strong.

"When you lose there is always disappointment but I always see a good mentality from my players when there is a defeat".

Wenger last tasted victory on the road against one of the big boys almost 1000 days ago when they saw off Manchester City 2-0 in 2015. We did exactly what I expected them to.

But Wenger's men put in a confident performance and had the better chances. Interestingly, in their last 13 visits to teams who finished inside the top six last season, Arsenal have failed to pick up a victory with their last win coming against Manchester City in 2015.

For Chelsea, Eden Hazard continues to wait for his first start of the season as he continues to recover from a broken ankle. In the three games between the sides last season, Arsenal came out on top, having beaten Chelsea once in the league and in the FA Cup Final. Opta Stats Arsenal have lost their last five away Premier League games versus Chelsea, their joint-longest away losing run in the competition against a single opponent.
