Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports provided the update from LSU head coach Ed Orgeron on Wednesday.
Guice (undisclosed) did not practice Wednesday, Ross Dellenger of The Advocate reports.
Guice entered the 2017 season with massive expectations on his shoulders after a huge 2016 campaign despite technically being Leonard Fournette's backup.
Wednesday marks Guice's third consecutive absence from practice as a result of an injury suffered in LSU's loss to Mississippi State. Now they'll be without star running back Derrius Guice in Week 4.
In three games so far this season, Guice has rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns.
Senior Darrel Williams, who scored the Tigers' only touchdown against MSU, is expected to start this weekend in Guice's place, with sophomore Nick Brossette and freshman Clyde Edwards-Helaire also likely to see the field.
Guice is the main piece to the Tigers offense, due to their limitations in the passing game many expect the junior to be in the running for the Heisman at the end of the year.
