The Chinese phone maker has officially joined the Wireless Power Consortium. We've compiled the following list to help you find Qi wireless chargers that should work quite well with your new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X. The 2017 iPhone models all support wireless charging for the first time, and apparently the next Xiaomi flagship model will too.
Xiaomi is all set to hop on the wireless charging bandwagon if its new membership of the Wireless Power Consortium is any indication. Over the years, wireless charging has become a standard parameter for flagship smartphones as the trend and need for wireless charging has increased.
From the existing reports, it is speculated that the 2018 Xiaomi flagship - the Mi 7 might feature a 6-inch OLED display that is made by Samsung.
Rumors so far allege that the Mi 7 will pack a Snapdragon 845 processor and an ample 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The Chinese company recently joined the Wireless Power Consortium, which means it is one of the tech firms that is going to promote Qi wireless charging platform. Rivals like Samsung and LG have already offered wireless charging solutions in flagships, and Apple's entry only makes the tech mandatory to compete effectively. All the three iPhones have a glass back to enable the wireless charging capability.
As the Android biggies started arriving with the wireless charging feature, even Apple adopted to the same. This did materialize earlier this month with the recent iPhone models - iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X those were unveiled. Whether the Mi 7 will have wireless charging or not is yet to be seen, and chances of next year's Mi Mix 3 having wireless charging is a possibility as well, since the Mi Mix 3 will be a more globally targeted device, just like the Mi Mix 2.
