Honor 7X with dual rear cameras, Android Nougat launched in China

The fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted and that's not because Honor is trying to keep it in the same spot as that of the 6X but because there is no space in front for it thanks to the 5.93-inch 18:9 display. The device can be pre-ordered from 17th October in China, and the device will be available in India, Europe and the U.S. as soon as possible.

Soon after launching the Honor 9i in India, the Huawei sub-brand has now debuted a new mid-range smartphone in its homeland. It also has 8 megapixels front camera. The Honor 7X brings a bunch of upgrades and an entirely new design but makes sure to keep the dual cameras of its predecessor. The phone comes with HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset with Octa-core (4×2.36 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The Honor 7X is successor to the company's much-popular Honor 6X phone and will be available in as many three storage variants: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB, with all the variants supporting expandable storage of up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The phones metal body measures 7.6mm thick and weighs 165g.

The Honor 7X runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with EMUI 5.1 on top.

It comes with a Dual 16 MP + 2 MP main camera with phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. A 3340 mAh non-removable battery is inside the phone with fast charging technology which claims to offer up to 21 hours of talk time.

The device is also IP67 certified, making it water and dust resistant. Frankly, you could just right the whole spec sheet of the Honor 9i and call it the Honor 7X. The smartphone will come in Gold, Aurora Blue and Black colour options and will go on sale in the country starting October 17.

It is now available to pre-order and the sales will begin from October 17th.
