Authorities still are searching for a suspect, but have canceled the missing-child alert for a 7-year-old boy who was sought following an incident at a mobile home in southern OH that left three people dead and a fourth hospitalized.
Police are looking for a missing OH boy after a triple murder and stabbing. Lawrence County Sheriff Jeffery Lawless told the Ironton Tribune that investigators didn't immediately know whether the boy was at the home during the apparent attack.
"Upon arrival deputies found three adults inside a house trailer deceased from apparent gunshot wounds", Lawless said.
A fourth victim was found at a relative's home about 1/4 mile north of the scene. The victim had stab wounds to the neck and head and was taken to the hospital.
This undated photo provided by the Lawrence County Ohio Sheriff's Office shows Aaron Lawson. Lawson was spotted by Deputies on SR 141 near CR 52 driving a Blue Chevy truck at about 12:30 AM and a pursuit ensued.
We are in the very early stages of this investigation and can not compromised this investigation by divulging more information at this time. Deputies briefly chased Lawson before he crashed his vehicle into a ditch and ran into the woods, the sheriff said.
The names of the victims have not been released.
While investigating, authorities learned that Devin lived at that residence and had not been seen.
Lawson is being described as a person of interest in the crimes by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
He was last seen at a 15497 State Route 63 home on Wednesday.
Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, including crime-scene and cyberunit investigators, are assisting Lawrence County with the case, said Jill Del Greco, a spokeswoman for BCI and the state attorney general's office.
