Iran warns Europe against new nuke deal conditions

"It is not acceptable for us that Europe repeats the United States bullying against Iran", he added.

"To say that they accept the JCPOA (nuclear deal) but should negotiate on Iran's regional presence or talk about Iran's missile defences is to set conditions on the JCPOA, and this is not at all acceptable", said Ali Akbar Velayati, senior foreign policy advisor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "We welcome this approach but it's not enough that they only tell him not to tear up the deal".

The Leader also referred to Trump's remarks against the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and Europe's support for Iran on this issue.

"We have launched the tenders, we are supposed to award contracts by year-end so all that is fitting well in terms of the calendar" Pouyanne said, adding that it will have clarity by the end of the year after the decision by the U.S. Congress.

A top advisor to Iran's supreme leader warned European governments on Tuesday against imposing new conditions on the nuclear deal. "Europe must stand against practical measures (taken) by America", he said.

Khamenei also said of Trump: "I will not spend time to respond to the nonsensical comments by the foul-mouthed president".

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also released several posts in his Twitter account to remind the U.S. president of Iran's internal unity, saying, "Today, Iranians-boys, girls, men, women-are ALL IRGC; standing firm with those who defend us & the region against aggression & terror".

"But we will try on our side to obtain the comfort that we can continue the project, which will be our priority", he added.
