Harvey Weinstein Sued for Allegedly Raping Actress ... At Beverly Hills Hotel

"Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances", the spokesperson added.

In a complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the actress also accused Weinstein Co. of negligence. He then invited her to the Montage Hotel to celebrate.

According to to the actress, who goes by the name "Jane Doe" in the suit, she claims that she met the producer at a hotel in 2015 to discuss a role in the series Marco Polo. The documents do not specify where the incident took place within the hotel.

More than 50 women have claimed that Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them over the past three decades and Weinstein has been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

In 2016, Weinstein again contacted the plaintiff to meet him at The Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, giving her the impression that she had been chosen for the role discussed for "Marco Polo".

But she says her insistence was ignored and that Weinstein then "forcefully threw her" on the bed, pulled down her jeans and performed oral sex on her.

The actress said she told him to stop, but due to his strength and weight, he was able to overpower her and force himself on the woman. After he withdrew, he gripped her with one hand while using his other hand to masturbate. At some point during the meeting, the woman alleges that Weinstein excused himself and returned wearing only a bathrobe. "Plaintiff finally broke free from his grasp and immediately left the bedroom and suite". She allegedly "swore at him and hung up the phone".

The New York Police Department is now gathering evidence against Weinstein after detectives interviewed actress Paz de la Huerta, who claims Weinstein raped her twice in 2010.

The unnamed actress isn't the first woman to accuse Weinstein of rape.

The woman says she never received a job offer for Marco Polo - which was canceled after two seasons - or for any other Weinstein-related project.

The lawsuit is just the latest in a series of allegations ranging from harassment to rape to be leveled against Weinstein, who faces criminal investigations in Los Angeles, New York, and the United Kingdom. Police in New York, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and London have said they are investigating allegations of sexual assault or rape by Weinstein.
