Major Tag Match with Stipulations Set for "Clash of Champions 2017"

Major Tag Match with Stipulations Set for

In case you didn't know.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been wreaking havoc on SmackDown Live for months, but now they're starting to learn that there are consequences to their actions.

WWE Champion AJ Styles and his opponent Jinder Mahal were noticeably absent from this week's episode and a video package detailing their feud thus was released instead of an onscreen confrontation.

Powell's POV: Shane McMahon named himself special referee of the tag match and announced the stipulation, which didn't appear to sit well with Daniel Bryan's character. Orton ended up running in and laying Owens out with a RKO (outta nowhere), and Shane McMahon followed up with a big announcement for the Clash Of Champions PPV.

Champions Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair engaged in non-title bouts, Rusev and Aiden English faced off with The New Day, and The Bludgeon Brothers' squash match streak continued.

SmackDown will also be up against six National Basketball Association games - four games will begin prior to the start of SmackDown and carry over it the show's broadcast while the other two games will start during SmackDown's broadcast. There's no hiding the fact that even on a show built around champions that this match is far more important than any title match on the card.
