Apollon Limassol vs Everton 7 December 2017: Europa League Preview and Predictions

Sam Allardyce will miss Everton's Europa League tie against Apollon Limassol in Cyprus on Thursday due to a "pre-arranged medical appointment".

Before this game, the English Premier League side had already crashed out of the competition.

The Toffees, already eliminated from the competition, face Apollon Limassol in Nicosia this evening.

IT'S A BIG night for Harry Charsley as the Everton youngster is making his senior debut.

Craig Shakespear will take charge of the team but it is not a team that many fans will recognise, even Everton fans.

Joel Robles comes in for Jordan Pickford in the only obvious change of the game. With the first-team stretched by injuries in defence, it could well be the case that teenager Collins joins second-string captain Morgan Feeney and Alex Denny in an inexperienced backline.

The chances of that record improving here appear slim given the under-strength squad sent out to Cyprus, and the attention being paid to Sunday's Merseyside derby at Anfield.

The visitors went ahead in the 21st minute as an unmarked Lookman dispatched a header into the roof of the net from Vlasic's cross after he had reached the byline via a one-two from Kevin Mirallas.

That just leaves the striking position which sees Fraser Hornby given his debut as he looks to lead the line.

Everton have been living in the shadow of bitter rivals Liverpool for quite some time now, and will be hoping that the switch to a larger arena will help them compete financially with the Premier League's elite clubs, and subsequently close the gap on the Reds.
