Sam Vokes starts for Burnley at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have the talent and squad depth to cope with their lengthy injury list and beat Burnley in Saturday's Premier League encounter, on-loan defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has said.

"I am very careful about statistics and I have no desire to start celebrating here in the middle of January".

"The only thing that interests me is being one place above the relegation zone".

"You look at that, a couple of decisions have gone against us in this run, a few injuries, so I'm not overly disappointed".

"Anything else apart from that would be a huge bonus, especially after being four games, four defeats, no points, no goals when I came (as a replacement for the sacked Frank de Boer)". He's done very well recently for us and was in the team on merit.

Christian Benteke picked up a good assist with a flicked ball out to the left but it was all about Sako in truth, the winger driving inside and punishing Burnley for some nervy defending as they backed off and he drove the ball hard across goal and into the corner.

Arfield is a very good midfielder who has proved himself in the Championship and in the Premier League in England. "The margins were tight when we were winning games and the margins are tight now".

The Eagles were much the better team before the interval but rode their luck after half time before clinching their sixth win of the season.

Sako justified his first league start since September with an energetic and purposeful performance against a Burnley defence that had conceded only 19 goals in their past 22 league games prior to this afternoon. Palace are probably slight favorites at home, but Burnley's away record has been excellent for most of the season, and they'll be confident they can get a result. I'm certainly not disappointed when you look at the league table.

"For me it is good to be involved in this level of the game and it makes me stronger as a player and can only be to my advantage".
