Of The Wildest Revelations In The Comey Memos

President Donald Trump, for a change, sees a reason to celebrate something written by former FBI Director James Comey.

In May 2017, Trump fired Comey, publicly stating that it was due to dissatisfaction with Comey's performance.

ABC News obtained copies of the memos, which are partially redacted, on Thursday after the Justice Department turned over 15 pages of declassified material to Congress.

An investigation headed by Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper, ordered by then-President Barack Obama, had already found in January 2017 that there was no evidence of collusion.

"I hope you can let this go", Mr Trump is reported to have said after a White House meeting.

"I like him very much as a person, but sometimes even good people do things they shouldn't do", Comey said.

The lawyer said that McCabe looked up to his onetime boss, former FBI Director James Comey but that they remember differently their conversations about McCabe's contacts with The Wall Street Journal in 2016 about the Clinton Foundation investigation.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating potential ties between Russian Federation and Trump's 2016 campaign as well as possible obstruction of justice by the president.

Comey is a beneficiary of the Trump...

The documents cover the early months of the Trump administration, a period of upheaval marked by staff turnover, a cascade of damaging headlines and revelations of an FBI investigation into potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

The left dislikes Comey because he is too moralistic, because they think he robbed Hillary Clinton of the presidency, and because he can understand Reinhold Niebuhr.

President Donald Trump has questioned the legality of the special counsel, who is conducting a probe into Russian Federation interference in the 2016 presidential election, alleged collusion by the Trump campaign and obstruction of justice.

The memos come on the heels of the release of Comey's book, "A Higher Loyalty", which also detailed Comey's account of interactions with Trump, as well as his dim view of the president's conduct in office.

Trump was concerned that McCabe held a vendetta against him for Trump criticizing him over McCabe's wife taking money from a PAC aligned with then-Virigina Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), a longtime ally of the Clintons. He refers to the size of Trump's hands, Trump's overlong tie, his orange complexion, the white half-moons under the eyes, inability to laugh and bright hair, pondering how long it must take each morning to maneuver into a remarkable helmet. Trump told Comey it was "nonsense", but acknowledged Russian President Vladimir Putin told him "we have some of the most attractive hookers in the world". "Those were conservations he had based on his position with the president, and the fact that two of the memos has classified information, I think Comey has a lot of exposure here".

He also said he has issues with how the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted its raid on the offices of Trump attorney Michael Cohen, as it was "hyperaggressive" if the underlying offense was a look into campaign finance violations.
