In a feature story about the youngest member of the Kardashian clan, the magazine estimates that her beauty company Kylie Cosmetics-launched less than three years ago, in November 2015-is worth $800 million.
"I had the opportunity to make like the coolest makeup line that I've always dreamed of", Jenner said, according to People magazine. Mama Kris Jenner stepped in from there, securing their own e-commerce platform to relaunch Kylie Lip Kits as Kylie Cosmetics on Shopify, where it just exploded. Kylie - who owns 100% of the company, now worth almost $800 billion - credits social media for helping her build such a massive following of customers.
The mag values her Kylie Cosmetics makeup company - of which she owns 100% of - at almost $800 million. Forbes said it valued her company at almost $800 million, and Jenner owns 100 percent of it. I have such easy access to my fans and my customers'.
Forbes says Jenner, who recently become a mom, is likely to break Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's record for being the youngest self-made billionaire at age 23 - though some will argue that Jenner's success isn't entirely "self-made."
"We consider any person who built her own fortune, and didn't inherit the money, to be self-made", Forbes' methodology reads.
Forbes reports that Jenner is now the 27th richest self-made woman in the United States, beating out the rest of her famous family (her older sister Kim Kardashian is worth an estimated $350 million).
"It has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since, including an estimated $330m in 2017".
Back in 2016, Jenner and company first disclosed the brand's earnings in a Women's Wear Daily profile about her journey to become a billion-dollar cosmetics queen.
The company was launched with $250,000 (£188,000) of Kylie's own money she had earned from modelling; she produced 15,000 lip kits and teased the launch for months on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Kim, 37, has been in the reality TV business for most of Kylie's life-and she still hasn't become quite as rich!
"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi, if she's into it."
